One Piece fans instantly turn to stone after looking at this stunning cosplay of the iconic Boa Hancock in her purple dress.

A One Piece superfan brings the incomparable Snake Princess Boa Hancock to life in a stunningly accurate cosplay.

The cosplayer, who goes by the name Katerina, uploaded her take on the Pirate Empress to her Instagram account. The post features a look at her in the character's iconic purple dress, gazing at the camera with a simple mid shot. It also features a second photo that compares her to the anime's depiction of the character, highlighting how accurate to the source material her take is.

The cosplay features the aforementioned purple outfit, which Hancock wears at times throughout the series. Katerina also pays close attention to the character's hair, makeup and accessories, featuring a wig that captures her iconic black locks and her golden snake earrings. The latter remains consistent throughout all of Boa's varying outfits. Finally, she uses contact lenses to give herself piercing blue eyes, accurately emanating the character's eye color from before the Episode 517 timeskip.

Katerina's post was full of positive comments, with many replying to the cosplay with praise. Users described her as the "perfect Boa" and joked about having been turned to stone after looking at her -- a reference to the character's Mero Mero no Mi power. One other user noted that the cosplayer frequently portrayed One Piece characters exceptionally. Her account is evidence of this as she has taken on many of the most iconic figures, such as Nami, Nico Robin, Luffy and Yamato, who recently lay at the center of controversy regarding their gender.

The One Piece series was created by the legendary Eiichiro Oda, an author so dedicated he once continued to work on the saga while hospitalized. It has been serialized since 1997 and has produced over 1000 chapters since then. The latest of these was Chapter 1084, "The Attempted Murder of a Celestial Dragon," which was released on May 21, 2023.

One Piece's anime adaptation, from Toei Animation, has frequently made news lately thanks to its impressive animation and dedicated work staff. One of the most recent battles, which took place between Zoro and King, featured a boatload of Easter eggs, including an Among Us cameo and a secret message written in Arabic within King's red attack streaks. Additionally, the series recently premiered Episode 1000 of its English dub at Anime Expo 2023.

The anime is available to stream on Crunchyroll. In addition, the manga is fully accessible via Viz Media with a Shonen Jump subscription.
